At ArcticRoamer, we believe the best way to experience the Arctic is by exploring it freely.

Lapland is one of the most unique and beautiful regions in the world. Vast forests, frozen lakes, remote wilderness and the magical northern sky create an environment unlike anywhere else. Instead of staying in one location, ArcticRoamer was created to allow travelers to move with the landscape and discover the Arctic at their own pace.

Our concept is simple: small groups, flexible travel, and unforgettable experiences across the north.

A Different Way to Explore Lapland

Traditional tours often keep travelers in one place, visiting the same locations as everyone else. ArcticRoamer offers something different.

With our specially designed expedition bus, your group can travel across the Arctic region while having a comfortable basecamp on the road. The vehicle is equipped for both travel and overnight stays, allowing you to explore deeper into Lapland while staying close to nature.

Instead of following a strict schedule, the journey can adapt to the moment. Whether it’s chasing the northern lights, discovering hidden landscapes, or simply enjoying the peaceful Arctic wilderness, the road is open.

Small Groups, Big Experiences

ArcticRoamer adventures are designed for small groups of 5–9 travelers. This creates a more personal and flexible travel experience.

Small groups allow us to visit places that larger tour buses cannot reach and to adapt the journey according to the group’s interests.

Every trip becomes unique.

Explore the Arctic Region

While our journeys begin in Finnish Lapland, ArcticRoamer adventures can also travel across borders into the Arctic regions of Norway and Sweden.

This allows travelers to experience a wide variety of landscapes and cultures, including:

  • Arctic wilderness and national parks

  • Northern Lights locations

  • Scenic mountain roads

  • Remote villages and local culture

  • The stunning Norwegian Arctic coastline

Sleep Under the Arctic Sky

One of the most unique parts of the ArcticRoamer experience is the ability to sleep close to nature.

Our expedition bus is designed to provide a warm and comfortable environment for rest while traveling through the Arctic. Depending on the journey, nights can be spent in the bus or occasionally in selected accommodations along the route.

This flexibility allows us to stay close to the places we explore — including some of the best locations for viewing the Northern Lights.

The ArcticRoamer Philosophy

At ArcticRoamer, the journey itself is part of the adventure.

Instead of rushing from one destination to another, we travel slowly and intentionally, giving our guests time to experience the landscapes, the silence of the north, and the beauty of the Arctic environment.

Our goal is simple:

To create unforgettable Arctic journeys where travelers can truly experience Lapland.

ArcticRoamer operates under Työpalvelu Pentti Niskasaari Oy (2349612-5), a Finnish company supporting the development and operations of the ArcticRoamer travel concept.

Autumn 2025Company Established
The Idea Is Born

ArcticRoamer began as an idea in autumn 2025 when a small group gathered to explore new tourism concepts for Lapland. The goal was simple: create a more flexible and personal way for travelers to experience the Arctic.

During the planning phase, the idea of a mobile Arctic adventure began to take shape. Instead of traditional hotel-based tours, the concept focused on traveling across Lapland with a small group using a specially equipped expedition bus.

Winter 2025–2026Planning the Journey
Client Review and Feedback

Over the winter months the concept was developed further. Routes, experiences, and the overall travel philosophy behind ArcticRoamer were carefully planned to create unique small-group adventures across the Arctic region.

Spring 2026Preparing for the First Adventures
Refinement and Iteration

By spring 2026 the project moved into its final preparation phase. Equipment, logistics, and travel plans were organized to make the first ArcticRoamer journeys possible.

Summer 2026The First ArcticRoamer Journeys
The Journey Begins

In summer 2026 ArcticRoamer began its first journeys, welcoming small groups to explore Lapland in a completely new way — traveling, discovering, and experiencing the Arctic together.

ArcticRoamer was created to offer a new way to experience Lapland. Instead of rushing between hotels and tour buses, we travel slowly across the Arctic with a small group. Our expedition vehicle allows us to sleep, cook, and explore while moving through some of the most beautiful landscapes in Northern Europe.
